Maroon Bells and Crater Lake | Chasing the Reflections

posted in: Hiking, Travel, Xperience | 0

Maroon Bells are the most photographed peaks in North America. I am sure everyone has seen at least some version of the iconic reflection of the two peaks in the Maroon lake. Just like the first image below. It’s kind of like, you can’t go to the Bells and not take that photo :). But this time, I was chasing different kind of reflections. Trying to move away from the already seen, check out some photos below of the gorgeous snow covered peaks reflecting in the water. Oh, and we found some morel mushrooms as well.

These photos are from the Crater lake hike, it’s a 3.6 miles loop starting from Maroon lake. Not too strenuous of a hike, with high traffic of daily visitors to the Bells. This hike is also the beginning of a much longer one to West Maroon Pass that goes all the way to Crested Butte. Next on my list!
